I Work in Washington, DC as a Technical Team Lead.
After many years working as an “IT guy”, I came to the shocking conclusion that we, the IT staff, are wasting company resources by not having a clear understanding of how the IT department fits in the organization.
The goals of this blog are:
- To present the common challenges faced by CIOs and IT Directors.
- To discuss and propose ways to overcome them.
- To present a strong case about the need of defining an IT Strategy.
- To propose ways to make sure the IT Strategy is updated and kept up to date as needed.

Thanks. Yes, I was also surprised to find out that there are not that many posts or blogs about IT Strategy, or many of those that exist are only targeted to have the IT Directors or CIOs to buy a product or service.
